How it works

Three steps. No catch.

A real audit takes real work. We don't run an automated scan and call it a day. Here's what happens after you fill out the form.

01

Tell us about your business.

A 60-second form. Your name, business, type, your website, and one line on what's been bugging you. That's all we need to get started.

02

We do the work.

Within 24 hours we analyze your review presence, website performance, Google profile, and local competitors. By a real person — not a bot.

03

You get the audit.

One-page PDF, by email. Read it, ignore it, send it to your nephew — it's yours. If you want help fixing what we found, we'll talk. If not, no follow-up.

Sample audit

See what you'll get before you ask.

A real audit. Real findings. Real recommendations. This one is for a fictional dental practice — the patterns are anchored in audits we've run for actual local businesses.

Headline finding
Your practice is doing strong clinical work — your existing patients clearly love you. But you're losing visibility to nearby competitors who are winning the review and search game. Three quietly compounding problems are sending new patients to them instead.

Your rating is fine but your volume signals "small or inactive" to prospective patients. Anyone comparing you to nearby practices sees 12 vs. 80+ and quietly assumes the others are better. The 2023 cutoff is the loudest signal — it tells a new patient your last happy customer was over two years ago. This is the single highest-impact problem to fix.

Site is functional but slow on phones — and 71% of dental site visits happen on mobile. The missing "Book Online" CTA is the single biggest conversion leak. Ranking #8 for the obvious search means you're below the fold of Google's first page; you're effectively invisible to a patient searching while they have toothache.

Local pack ranking
#4-6 (fluctuates)
Your profile is verified — the hard part is done. The fastest wins on the site: add 20+ photos, answer the open Q&A, and start posting weekly. Google's algorithm visibly rewards activity. Most local-pack winners post 1-2x per week.
If we were running this practice, here's what we'd do first.
1
Launch a review request flow. Automated SMS/email to recent patients at the moment they're most likely to leave 5 stars. Target: 50+ Google reviews in 90 days, closing the visibility gap with competitors.
2
Fix the website conversion leak. Add a visible "Book Online" CTA above the fold and compress hero images to drop load time under 2.5s. Estimated 15-25% lift in mobile bookings.
3
Activate your Google profile. Upload 20 photos this week, answer the 4 open Q&A, post weekly going forward. Typical local pack lift: 2-3 positions in 60 days.

This is the level of detail you'll get for your business. Free.

What we look at

Three areas. Every audit.

We don't grade everything. We grade the three things that drive new customer revenue for local businesses online, and we tell you exactly where each one stands.

01

Reviews

Total review count, average rating, posting trend, your response rate, head-to-head comparison against your three nearest competitors.

Customers trust strangers' reviews more than your own marketing copy.
02

Website

Mobile load speed, conversion CTAs, design freshness, SEO basics for your top local search terms, age signals that may be quietly hurting you.

Slow or dated sites silently kill conversions before the visitor even reads anything.
03

Google profile

Completeness, photo count vs. competitors, posting cadence, Q&A response rate, local pack position. The single highest-ROI fix for most local businesses.

For most local businesses, your Google profile gets more eyes than your website.
About

Why I built Curblift.

I spent 30 years in technology, working with various Fortune 500 companies — building systems, leading teams, watching small businesses get squeezed by the same software vendors year after year. The agencies were too expensive. The SaaS tools were too generic. And the AI tools that could actually fix this were aimed at Fortune 500 companies who didn't need them.

Curblift exists because the local dental office, the family law firm, the manufacturer with 14 employees — none of these deserve to lose customers to bigger competitors just because nobody built the right tools for them. The audit is free because the audit is the easy part. Doing something about what we find is where we earn our keep.

If you fill out the form, the audit you get is one I personally reviewed. Not a template, not an automated scan. That's how it'll work until we grow past one person's capacity — and the day we have to change that, the price stays the same.

If you want help

What we'd do about it.

The audit is free. The recommendations are yours to take or leave. If you'd rather not handle them yourself, here are the three things we do — at prices that don't punish you for being a small business.

Frequently asked

Questions worth asking.

Yes, free. The catch is that we hope you like the audit enough to want our help fixing what we found. If you don't, you've got a real document with specific recommendations you can hand to anyone — a freelancer, your nephew, or your existing marketing person.
A real person with 30 years of technology experience — currently, that's the founder personally reviewing every audit. Reviews, website performance, and Google profile data all come from public sources we measure directly. No automated scan-and-send.
We use it to write your audit, and to send it back to you. That's it. We don't sell data, we don't share it with partners, we don't add you to a drip campaign. If you don't engage further, you'll never hear from us again unless you reach out.
No follow-up, no calls, no emails. The audit is yours. We make money when people hire us — which most do once they see the numbers — but the offer is genuinely no-strings.
Those are software products you have to learn, log into, and operate yourself. We're a service that uses software (some ours, some best-in-class third party) to deliver outcomes for you. You don't troubleshoot anything. We do the work, you see the results.
Buffalo Grove, Illinois — Chicago's northwest suburbs. We work with local businesses anywhere in the U.S., but having a real address and a real person means you can show up at our office or pick up the phone if something needs to be fixed.
